You beat me to it Ty, just a horrible tragedy. What was essentially meaningless - that Ledger had become a great actor, one of my favorites of recent years - is totally unimportant as he leaves behind a child and passes at only 28 years of age.

So awful...

Ugh, when things like this happen I tend to just think about them over and over and over again.

This is really just terrible, that's the only word I can think of to describe it right now.

I was thinking back on my favorite actor's list too, of which Heath Ledger was on my short list. But I remember the reason I ultimately left him off, thinking at the time that he was just coming into his own and he still had so many great performances to give us. I thought for certain he'd be on my list next year and possibly for years to come. Having just done I'm Not There, Brokeback Mountain and I even loved his role in Lords of Dogtown. Plus I was totally psyched for The Dark Knight too, Ledger looks awesome in the role.

I at least hope that it was just an accidental overdose of sleeping pills and there isn't a shadow that will be cast over his death and on his life.

Dammit. Just dammit.
